TUTORSBRIDGE.CO.UK - TUTOR’ TERMS OF SERVICE

TutorsBridge.co.uk is a bespoke web platform connecting students of any age, ability, and instrument with high-quality, professionally vetted online Tutors across the UK. These terms of service set out our role as your agent and should be read in conjunction with:

TutorsBridge.co.uk is owned and operated by Joen Group Limited, a limited liability company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12965000). Registered address: 4, Waverly Close, Llandough, Vale Of Glamorgan, CF64 2PQ.

Definitions

Account
The Tutor's account required to use the Web Platform to access/edit their profile and communicate with Customers.
Application
The application form on the Web Platform completed to obtain an Account.
Confirmed Solo Lesson
A Solo Lesson paid for and confirmed by the Customer.
Confirmed Group Lesson(s)
One or more Group Lessons confirmed and paid by the Customer.
Customer
The person purchasing Online Lessons or Event Tickets on the Web Platform.
Tutor
The self-employed professional offering Online Lessons and/or Events through the Web Platform.

Contract Between You and Us

  • These terms constitute the entire agreement between us and you in relation to the Services provided.
  • Do not use the Web Platform if you do not agree to these terms.
  • These terms come into effect from Wednesday, September 9th 2025.

Creating an Account

You must complete an Application in order to obtain an Account on the Web Platform.

Services Provided via the Web Platform

  • Act as your agent in the relationship with Customers/Students.
  • Provide marketing, communication, booking, and fee collection services.
  • Supply, host, and maintain the Web Platform.
  • Provide support and advice for profile content.
  • Maintain notification systems for communication between Tutors and Customers.
  • Display accurate fee information.
  • Settle all Tutor Fees where Customers have used our payment services.
  • Investigate complaints and handle refunds per our policies.
  • Ensure screening of all New Applicants.

Community Standards

  • Ensure safety and security of themselves and Students.
  • Do not share login credentials.
  • Post only legal and non-offensive content.
  • Comply with safeguarding obligations and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Do not circumvent the Web Platform or payment services.

Price and Payment

  • Tutors set their own pricing structure via thire dashboard.
  • Platform Fees are deducted from the Price based on Membership Level / Agreement.
  • Payment is settled monthly via Prepared Invoice into the Tutor’s UK bank account.
  • Refunds are processed according to cancellation rules.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

All Tutors must adhere to safeguarding standards and Policies, including:

  • Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
  • Code of Conduct, Acceptable Use Policy, Lone Working Policy, and Whistleblowing Policy.
  • Report concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

  • Tutors are liable for any damage caused through use of the Web Platform or provision of services.
  • Tutors must maintain adequate liability insurance.
  • We are not responsible for third-party websites or platform issues.
  • Internet transmissions are not completely private or secure.
  • Some liabilities cannot be excluded under English law.
